My publisher has asked me to write a short story prequel to my Soul Screamers books. They want to release this story as an e-short in July, so I’m in a bit of a time crunch and I’ve run across a couple of interesting problems. I’ve been getting a lot of reader mail lately about Pride. (Which is out, now, btw. Forgot to mention that earlier.)  Okay, I've been threatened gently prodded by Melissa to mention my good news.

I found out last night that in a couple of weeks, Rogue will appear on the NYT Extended bestseller list at #32. I could not be more excited, and in fact, last night I actually had honest-to-goodness chest pains. Which tells me that I need to get in much better shape ( Read more... )

For my books (all of them) I use real places, in an attempt to ground my fantasy in reality. If I've never been to the town or city in question, I make sure I know someone who has (preferably someone who lives there), so I have some way to double check my facts.
